Wal*Mart Is Good For Interesting Encounters

Interesting conversation at Wal*Mart yesterday. Well, it was kinda funny in a rude way I guess. I was coming out of an aisle and a lady was going up the aisle:

Lady: Are all these kids yours?

Me: Yes, they are 1, 2, and 3.

(She then said something about a granddaughter I couldn't understand)

Lady: Guess you forgot about birth control, ha ha ha. (she actually laughed)

I just walked away, I didn't know what to say. People always pity me and tell me how hard my life must be. I reassure them that I LOVE how close my kids are and we have a blast. I wouldn't trade my kids' ages for anything.

So sad....folks are so rude. We've heard them all....

How rude! Do people not think before they speak?

It's really my favorite thing to tell people how old your kids are. I love it.

Who care what others think...pffft to them!

I'm glad you enjoy your kids. My sister in law has 9 between the ages of 2 & 14 and they are an absolute blast. With ages so close together they always have a playmate.
I came across your blog and think it's great. Thanks for sharing.
Sincerely,
Holli

Hello,
I've hopped over to your blog from Heart assessment a couple times. I had to comment on this one I have been there often...I love when people ask me if my kids are all mine(I only have 4 to some that is alot not to me (:). Sadly for some kids are not a joy. You handled yourself well...
